The golf course is built on a postage stamp size of ground... many tight fairways and lots of water.. also meant lots of biting beasts. I really DO have to question the course design though. It's a small course but you actually walk more than 9.5km.. Very often hundreds of meters to the next tee... a very inefficiënt design. Also several holes have a water course along the side of the fairway... but instead of making it a water hazard they've put an out-of-bounds on the FAIRWAY side.. WEIRD! Made me feel that a farmer had a piece of ground, decided to make it a golf course.. sat down one evening over a few (too many) beers and designed it himself on a beer mat.. :-) :-) The greens were pretty slow and I felt they didn't run true. All in all not a course I'd want to play again.. here's hoping we're not in the same NGF division next year :) Btw.. we were there on a Monday checking out the course before the NGF comp.. and restaurant was CLOSED.. didn't help the overall feeling.

On Monday 14th September all volunteers and their partners have been invited for a 18 holes golfround with a dinner afterwards. Everything was great, we were welcomed with coffee and cake, the teams were chosen and although the weather was very rainy, we enjoyed our round of golf very much. The dinner was very tasty, accompanied with a nice glass of wine, when the winner of the golfround was announced. For us it was the first time to be invited as volunteers and it was a great day!
