Visited Eindhoven and Amsterdam this weekend and although Amsterdam had a great atmosphere I preferred Eindhoven. It has a great choice of bars and restaurants (unfortunately, very few have anything vegan at all). Its a very busy place, but there is lots to see and plenty beer to try. Nice to just walk around and see whats about. Lots of bikes going around so this takes a bit of getting used to. Definitely rent a bike to get around and see as much as you can. Loved this place, will be back!

Only con I can think of is that the people are quite rude (same in Amsterdam). People are very impatient here with non existent manners. There are no please and thank you's. If you hold the door open for anyone or wait while someone comes through a door, you will not get a thank you. So be prepared to be shoved, bumped into and have people rushing in front of you to get into places before you or infront of you on the train. After a couple of days you will get used to it and if you are used to having manners, you will have to throw them out if the window for the duration of your visit.

Prices are also quite expensive here, maybe inky slightly cheaper than Amsterdam, so take plenty money with you.

Heavily bombed in the Second World War, Eindhoven has been rebuilt mainly around the Philips group to become the silicone valley of the Netherlands. Some old parts are still to be seen. The centre is pedestrianised and the town square is full of restaurants serving good value for money food. If you are nearby then Eindhoven is certainly a place to stop off.

Such a beautiful town, lovely combination of new and old. Best seen by foot just watch out for the bikes. Lovely little markets on Saturdays just by St Catherine Church. If you are looking for something delicious make sure you call to Meneer De Boer you wont be sorry. Great night life - lots of fun with a friendly easy going atmosphere. A must on any bucket list.

There are definitely nicer cities in the Netherlands to visit. Eindhoven suffers from the sixties architecture problem and there isn’t a huge amount to do

The people are very friendly and helpful should you require it.
There is a good selection of all different levels of catering from simple to elaborate.
If only our country was as clean!!
There are plenty of attractions and sights to see.
