About
The body of work produced by Hieronymus Bosch can be found in museums and collections across the world. But the only place to find high-quality reproductions of all of his works is the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center in the city where the late-Mediaeval painter lived and worked his whole life. Come and admire the impressive exhibition set in a magnificent church building and you'll understand one visitor's summary of the experience: "I’ve learned a lot of Jerome Bosch. He is a great, and the most creative painter ever in history. This is a museum must see." Barely a quarter of an hour's walk from the station and just five minutes from St. John's Cathedral, this original and refreshing museum is home to all of Bosch's works and more. The reproductions can be found on the ground floor, while the other floors house collections of contemporary art, all inspired by Bosch himself. You can also take the lift to the very top floor of the tower for a fantastic view over the city.

Not a single original Bosch piece displayed, yet they charge more than a ticket to El Prado Museum. You will see a bunch of large posters on cheap frames. Save your money and spend it anywhere else.

Not your typical museum, certainly not for a painter. But Jheronimus was not just a painter and deserves something special, like this art centre.
It's kind of weird to have this place (note, it is not called museum, as there are actually no paintings displayed of the great artist) in which replicas of his work are displayed. But because they are replicas, you can actually touch them and look at them very closely to find details for which he was famous. Very helpful guide is handed out so that you get a good insight/background in the works of this unique artist.
Highly recommended.

My wife and I visited this lovely little museum in November.

We are both big fans of Bosch and this place was a delight. The museum features reproductions of his work with an explanation about the detail in the handbook provided with the admission fee.

If you aren’t a fan of Bosch there is little to draw you here but if you are it’s well worth a visit to see (albeit reproductions) of his works in the town where he lived and worked.

It’s about an hours train ride from Amsterdam but well worth the journey.

Loved it here. Not that expensive to get in and you are given a fab little booklet full of info about all of the paintings on display. Yes, they are all copies but so what? You get a great feel for this man and how ahead of his time he was. His imagination must have been incredible.
We asked a member of staff some questions and he was fabulous. His knowledge was very deep and only matched but his perfect English!
The building is also amazing - a church built in 1907 so plenty to admire there too.

We knew that all paintings were copies, so no disappointment here! Very friendly welcome, beautiful building/church! Our daughter really enjoyed the kids activity and even succeeded to get it all right! It was a very fun way to discover the museum!
The astronomical clock was very nice too, yes this is also a reproduction, but still, this must have been something back in the day! Took the lift all the way up to enjoy the panorama, sad that you can't go outside, but the view was worth it! We truly enjoyed our visit!!!

It was my first bigger experience with this Painter. I do fully agree with @efth_mis review and I want to see more H.Boschs' artworks in real size indeed. It means to travel all around the Europe or to wait for another big expo, where the originals are gathered to one place.

On arrival, a comprehensive booklet is given with the ticket explaining all the exhibits, and the life of the great artist. Remarkable in its craftsmanship and disturbing symbolism.

Interesting and worth visiting gallery for somebody who has no idea about who Bosch was and what his art was about. However, if you are a big fan of the artist and have seen at least some of his works in real life, it is easy to tell that the reproductions in this gallery are doing him no justice. The prints are not of great quality and the sizes are inaccurate (the Garden of Earthly Delights' size is exaggerated for sure). Despite this, the museum is a decent attempt to showcase the work of one of the greatest and distinct artists in his own hometown.

I went in on my own as my husband was not in the slightest bit interested and spent a wonderful hour inside. Arrived just at the right time too as the astronomical clock was about to strike. This place is a definite must visit if you are interested in art ,even if not the originals.

There are also works by other modern artists inspired by Bosch which are also fascinating.

The church is a fantastic backdrop

Would love to go again when they have a concert
