Not the original paintings, but interesting exhibition

You will not see Jheronimus Bosch' original paintings here, but copies of most of them. You will get a good insight in the work of the most famous citizen of this city.

The Hieronymus Bosch Art Centre situated in the former St Jacob’s Church is absolutely fascinating. When you enter the church you have a wonderful wide vista of HB and his era. The tower has a lift which takes you up to a wonderful view of the town and its surroundings. However descend again on the staircase and enjoy the various... More

Worth visiting if in town but not to travel too far for, helps you to understand where he came from, one of the artists to become both famous and rich in his own life time

Extremely interesting exhibition of replicas supportied by a very informative written pamphlet. Included large models of figures from his pictures. Some images of the real pictures when on a flat screen would have been useful also. The large church space makes an excellent environment for the exhibition.

A friendly guide pointed out some very interesting details on the pictures. IF you want you can spent Tinekes hours looking at each one to find more and more details and stories within. A tip, if you use also other event like the boottrip there is a rreduction ( i didnt notice that on the back of my boat ticket.

It was nice to see (replicas of) all the paintings and some sketch work from Jheronymus Bosch in one place. I thoroughly enjoyed this museum. Not too crowded and excellent free guide book! The staff was remarbly friendly and gave proper information (in English too!) on what to see where.

To start with it's only 7 Euros and while the paintings are not the originals the framing and the layout helps to forget that fact. The paintings are laid out in a helpful manner and a guide is provided that gives a helpful understanding of the artist and the symbolism in the art. In some respects he was many years... More

After visiting the main exhibition at the Museum in Den Bosch, I had the opportunity to visit a second - but not secondary - exhibition at this Art Center in Bosch's home town. We could see some amazing creations hanging from the ceiling of that church and some astonishing paintings where the influences of Bosch could be seen. I'll never... More
