I experienced a very cultural weekend whilst in Holland, along with the Van Gogh museum this place is highly recommended. A variety of history from artists to the 80's.

Next to an excellent collection of mainly regional painters 1500-19.00 always at least two temporary exhibitions, often contemporary. Today the Chiharu Shiota installation is fabolous, if you get the opportunity to visit it on your own, as we did. The permanent collection is housed in...More

As we live close by, we visit this museum regularly. This time, there was a fabulous exhibit by Japanese artist Chiaru Shiota, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The main collection of paintings is very good too. Henriette Ronner-Knip is a fave artist of mine

Love this museum. Next to the regular permanent collection in style rooms the museum has modern extended parts that have ever changing temporary exhibitions to surprise you and please the eye.

The exhibition about the '80 was real fun, so much memories, but also a good overview of that decenium. The other exhibition, Chiharu Shiota, was remarkable and impressive. A real wonder. Also the main collection is absolutely worth to visite also because a lot is interactive.

Have a look at their most recent exhibitions and wonder why you were not there! This is a real pearl in the Dutch museum landscape!

This was my first time at this museum and I felt it did justice to the art, history, and culture of this part of The Netherlands. The building is beautiful, the "classic" Dutch art impressive, the modern art invigorating, and the historical exhibits well-designed. Who...More

A nice blend of historical and modern art. Famous for their Jheronimus Bosch exhibition last year. The museum is located in the city center and located in a monumental building. The interior and extensions are impressive. And take a break at the terrace overlooking the...More

They are opening evening shifts, see internet or call the museum. Don't forget to climb the cathedral roof. You need tickets also. Good luck Gert
