It is a very historical and cosy place, sometimes in summer they offer local honey and wine to taste.

As part of the self-guided walking tour that the tourist office has created we learnt about the beguines and visited the beguinage. It is a wonderfully serene place that is still in use today. Well worth a quick visit.

Well preserved and interesting with the museum that lies within its precincts. No longer occupied by lay religious women but still an area of private silence, occupied by single women.

Hidden away in the middle of the city lies this historic place. It is very impressive to be in a place which hasn't changed much over its hunderds of years of history

A peaceful garden surrounded bi old brick buildings, with an elegant chapel. On the edge of the historical centre.

This Begijnhof is a beautiful quiet piece of the city. Small houses around the courtyard and little plots of gardening for the people that live there. Go check it out, but be quiet, because people actually live here.

WoW, the silene and the very quiet atmosphere in the center of Breda is unbelievable! It feels like you are back in the middle-ages, although the small houses are stil in use by bachelors.

Very small yet calm place. I have lived here in the city for years and never once found it to be crowded. It is minutes away from the city center. Easy walking distance. If you happen to be in the big park then do please...More
