Pierre Cuypers deserved a statue in his birthplace, Roermond. He restored many monuments or churches but his most famous work are The Rijksmuseum and The Central Station, both in Amsterdam. The statue is located in the area of the Munster church.

Pierre Cuypers' Statue is worth a look. He has been very important for the Netherlands with the design of great buildings. Roermond was 'his' town.

This man was having so much of talent. He deserves this statue. Its a very modern type in bronze outside of the church he had designed himself.

The designer of the Amsterdam Central Station and the Rijksmuseum! Knowing that Petrus Josephus Hubertus (Pierre) Cuypers was born in the little town of Roermond the monument dedicated to him is a big, pleasant surprise!

Iconic statue of the grand master of architecture watching one of his prominent works. Don't forget to visit his museum, only a few streets away.

Statue of a Roermond architect, well known for lots of great monumental buildings, especially churches all over the Netherlands.
This one is situated on "his" Munster square, in the city centre.

Nice statue beside Munsterplein, Roermond. He is looking to the Minster. He changed the building. He also is the master builder of Central Station Amsterdam and Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
