Most tourists do not find the Bassin as it is just outside the Centre and furthermore it is not well visible, as the roads around are on a higher level. Yet it is a lovely place with quite a few restaurants around the water. Nearby are two cinemas, Pathé and Lumière. Lumière also offers a restaurant with a terrace on the waterside. From here you can easily walk to the centre, Market and Vrijthof.

Stuck at the edge of the old town,... How modern city planning can bring a city to life. Stuck between old factories and nice townhouses, this waterside part of the city is now funky. Vibrant in the evening.

Strolled up there this afternoon and there was zero people in this small dockyard area. I guess its a sunny day activity when I think it'll be worthwhile sitting out at one of the bars set under the top walkway.
