This is not a large park but certainly worth a visit.Enjoy the greenery, fountains swans etc. Sometimes when you are on vacation, you are caught up with trying to get a lot in everyday. Well if you visit Maastricht, stop by the park and relax....More
There is nothing really to see in the park itself. Nearby are the Helpoort, the stunning ancient city wall, the little nunnery houses and the house that Andre Riley apparently grew up in...but the park is not noteworthy. nor worth photographing either
We did enjoy the nature in the park. An aviary had a variety of birds and there was a swan on her nest in the cattails along the banks of the river. Nice to get off the beaten path and enjoy the solitude.
