Nice museum but you have to know Dutch!

Interesting place, nice exhibition about animals and plants. The only downside is that everything is written in Dutch!

An exhibition on the geological history of the region, with some insights of the evolution of animals, men and nature in a historic building. One room shows how exhibitions were held in the past, also a must!

If you want to take rest from shopping area and you like nature, then its best place for you! There is just one minus - information is just in Dutch.. but I highly recommend it to visit. Enjoy !

Not the biggest museum but very interesting and a good guide book. The dinosaur skull is probably worth the price of admission on its own. It's a bit out of the way but this museum is definitely worth seeking out.

Great, interactive nature museum in/near the city centre (everything can be done on foot). Not only animals but this museum gives you a great insight into the history of the city. Great to do with kids as it is not too big and very interactive.

This is a nice museum where you can spend a couple of hours (for us two hours were just enough). When we visited there was a temporary exhibition on sharks. The museum has interesting exhibits from the region that are generally well presented. The interactive presentation of birds and the sounds they make is very interesting. There is a separate... I traveled to this museum specifically to see their temporary exhibition about sharks, which is still running until January 2017. This is housed in a single room only, but with gigantic video walls above that have a manta ray and a great white shark swimming around, as if you were deep underwater with them. The rest of the museum has... More

Beautiful, old building with an interesting selection of items. Texts are in Dutch, but an English brochure is available (however, it is a bit messy and not easy to follow). Anyway, the objects speak for themselves, and you don't really need the brochure. Our son just loved the mosasaurus fossiles and the bee-hive. The whole museum is accessible with wheelchair.

They had a great "Spider Exhibit" just in time for Halloween. A bit scary but laid out in a very interesting and informative way. The staff were helpful and the exhibits were well cared for and language friendly for the tourists.

Pricey and the English translations book is awful. It's fun and has some great exhibits but if don't speak Dutch you'll miss out on a lot.
