Raoul was the perfect guide in Maastricht, and certainly exposed me to so many things I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Roman ruins in the basement of a hotel? Yes! Translations of passages on or above buildings also helped me understand the layered dimensions of the city. And it's a great workout!

We had a lot of fun. It was our first running tour experience and we are now looking for this option in every city we are visiting. Thank you for this wonderful idea!

This was my husbands and mine first running tour and it was fantastic. We got to go through the city and see all the highlights and learn things we would never be able to on our own. Lysianne was a great tour and kept the pace fantastic. It was a great experience and a great way to learn about the... More

This was my first running tour and I am certain it will remain the best one! Raoul is an excellent guide - he made sure that the pace suited everyone (we were a group of about 10 people) and everyone can't help but be affected by his level of energy and enthusiasm for this beautiful city. Time flew by and... More

We were in Maastricht for the weekend. My brother organized a running tour around Maastricht. When Raoul suggested 6:30 I was pleasantly surprised. Runners are used to early morning runs, but with the heat that weekend this was a real win. Went through a bit of the city but then explored a bit around Sint-pietersberg nature reserve. Not what u... More

We had a great time with Raoul! He accommodated our last minute request for a same day tour that we really enjoyed. We've lived in the vicinity of Maastricht for 2 years, but are just arriving in the city and wanted to see more, and learn more about the history. We've spent a lot of time exploring the drinking and... More

I organized a running tour at late notice for my husband (who runs) . Raoul was flexible with times which was good for us. I am not a runner but joined the tour. It was a great way to see the city. And with all the stops, I managed to keep up. We started early (6.30am) which helped avoid all... More

I had a private tour with Raoul and it was excellent in every way. I got to see things that I wouldn’t have seen on my own walking about Maastricht. We ran out of the city, tackled a couple of Limburg hills and ran by the oldest vineyards in the Netherlands. I saw inside the Roman built cave wine cellar... More

We had never done a running tour before, but based on our experience, we'll definitely be doing one again! Initially, I was concerned about how fast we would be going, but Raoul, our guide reassured me that "the slower we go, the more we show". He was wonderful - it was very easy to coordinate the tour before we arrived,... More

Raoul does a fantastic job on this running tour; I highly recommend this for all Maastricht’s visitors looking for a personal tour of the city. Don't be put off if you're not an "every day" runner--Raoul catered to our speed and there were many planned stops along the way. Raoul’s route showcased the historical, social and cultural highlights of the... More
