Fantastic menu with around 200 beers (I didn't count them...), mostly from Belgium and The Netherlands, but also quite some British and American. This is already a good point, but what made my day (or night) was that they had Westvleteren, both the 8 and 12, and not too expensive either. Friendly & knowledgeable staff, not too crowded. Bliss.

De Koffer is a very nice neighbourhood pub that offers an amazing assortment of beers. Now if that isn't the only selling point, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and can always help you in your selection. It is most definitely not a hipster hang-out, but a pub in the Dutch tradition that I can highly recommend over any... More

This is a small neighbourhood bar, and Groningen has other, bigger pubs which may provide an even broader choice than the impressive ~190 beers you will find here. However, what makes this bar stand out is their selection. There's is always something new to taste that you won't find anywhere else. Combined with a cosy atmosphere, friendly prices and beer... Biggest collection of Dutch and international Beers in Groningen and surroundings. The staff is very knowledgeble. They literally tried every beer themselves. At times the bar is very (too) busy with students, at other times it's very quiet with just some regulars. There's are a dart board and some games as wel.

Fantastic beers with the most amazing staff who whilst being single staffed on both occasions we visited ran the bar like clockwork - yes occasionally you had to wait whilst they were doing other chores but they could teach some bars with four times the staff how to run and look after the customers. It is definitely worth making the... More

I made a point of visiting this pub when I was in Groningen last year as it had such good reviews: it certainly merits the enthusiastic comments. The pub was busy, but not crammed, and there was a very convivial atmosphere with a great buzz of conversation among what seemed to be a crowd of regulars. There is an incredible... More

An amazing beer reserve, people were very nice and kind, prices were good. Well localized in a very calm zone of Groningen. You must try fries and bitter ballens !
