Special place in the bearth of the city. To sit and enjoy in silence. Beautiful flowers. In summer time the kiosk for thee, coffe or wine etc is open. On special occasions there is poetry or songs to hear.

Went for lunch a few times recently. Located in a beautiful old building a short walk from the co-located walled gardens and the Martini tower and grote markt. A wide range of food including old favourites such as croquettes that is well cooked. Reasonable prices at lunch

Nice little green refuge in the city. The beautiful gardens are free to visit (best in spring or summer). It's not big, but perfect for a stroll and to relax with a good book on one of the benches.

Prinsenhoftuin is one of my secret corners of relaxation in Groningen ...I visited it again to see the beautiful flowers in summer and the wonderful herb garden .There were many tourists wandering there .The historic Renaissance garden was laid out in 1625 .Above the entrance gate is a magnificent sundial. The garden is a hidden gem ,it is located not far from Martinikerk.
The garden is open from 10.00 to 18.00 in summer .

Behind the Prinsenhof you can find the hidden Prinsentuin (means the Prince's garden), a public Renaissance garden from 1626. The beautiful Sundial Gate / Arch dates from 1731. Nice place to rest for a while, during a city trip or your lunch break!

We stumble upon this garden by accident while walking around Groningen. We were visiting near the spring time so is very nice to take pics of the garden. There is also a small cafe inside of the garden.

A nice little park in town. You cannot spend half a day there, but it gives you a good break for busy town life on a Saturday morning - just a few minutes away.

A short walk from the Martini tower, the beautiful Prinsentuin gardens is a lovely place to relax from the busy atmosphere of the city. Beautiful flower beds and usual garden designs. Great place to take photos and it is free to enter. Also loved the sundial.

This garden is breathtaking! There are several sections with one that has the initial of its founders (W and R), flower section and a plant tunnel with flowers in the middle. Open to the public and adjacent the Princehof hotel.
