This attraction was our favorite in our recent trip to The Netherlands. Allow several hours to see it all. The visit starts with the original stables, where vintage vehicles and even a few horses are housed. The palace visit is fascinating. You see numerous rooms and each has an explanation on items in the room, it's function, and from what... More

A chance to have a real inside-look of royal palace with contemporary rooms and farnitures. We have 3 kids (3.5,7.5,10) and they enjoyed the visit [it was "nice"]. The first compound presenting the stables of the palace and exhibition of the royal cars, very cool! There is a special room with 2 options of kids activities (art). At the back... More

This a palace you need to see! Grounds are impeccable. Worth the drive to Apeldoorn. Make sure you leave at least 90 minutes to see the palace and the surrounding grounds.Enyoy!

Palace ok but rather stuffed with furniture and art in a haphazard way. But the gardens are well worth it. Beautifully laid out and tended with great planting ideas and wonderful fountains and sculptures. Would rival the gardens at Villandry and they are really spectacular

It was great to see how the dutch royals lived and it is surely a place you have to go to when in the area. Great stables too with nice cars and carriages.

It has been restored to an immaculate condition. Definitely worth visiting the Palace and the gardens which are beautiful. Some wonderful paintings. The palace tour is well laid out but a guid book would have been useful, there is not much signage.

Palace het Loo was Stadholder William III (King William II of England) attempt to keep up with the Joneses, Louis XIV. And while Louis and his family converted a hunting lodge into a stupendous palace, the Orange Family let it remain a more modest summer residence. As a Dutch palace, it has grand proportions. After much restoration the building looked... More

Really nice musuem with every time other exhibitions. Also there is a lot to do for children (kids audio tour, parade of the summerking, the playpalace, etc.) and the garden is really nice. I like the "prins hendrik garage" for a drink or snack. Since I live in the neighbourhood, I come there regularly and I never get bored of... More

We visited the Palace Het Loo on a rainy day. Parking place for cars is large and close to the Palace. The entrance fee is fairly expensive but touring the building gives a good idea of both the history of the kingdom of the Netherlandfs and the arcitecture and decoration over the centuries. Dutch people are clearly very keen to... More

Arrived early as had read that it got very crowded later in the day; it was surprisingly quiet even at lunchtime. We had the guidebook but also took the audio guided tour which was definitely worth it; the anecdotes really added to our appreciation of this grand palace. We started our visit with a drink in the first café opposite... More
