One of two royal palaces that can be visited, but not as nice as the ones in France or Austria

Today I went (again) to the Royal Palace, my fifth visit in 40 years, still nice to see but not as impressive as it used to be when I was younger. As the nicest Dutch palaces are not open for the public, it is still special and a must visit when you are in Gelderland (or even in the Netherlands... More

The architecture of the palace isn't my favourite style of building, however the garden is quite nice to walk through.

As an escape from the pressures of being king, to go to the countryside and relax in a palace, this was the purpose of Het Loo. Our visit here began by parking by the car and walking over to the very modern ticking building. As we found out too late, our Museum Pass purchased from Amsterdam could have been used... More

The Paleis is an easy bus ride from Apeldoorn and is not to be missed. The Paleis and grounds were used until the late 1960s by the Royal Family and was renovated in the 1980s. Admission comes with an electronic tour. Don't miss the gardens and extensive grounds. The Paleis is grand, but shows a human scale.

I snuck away from work to see this place and regretfully only had an hour. I could have easily spent the biggest part of the day here, especially with the good weather. I couldn't believe how well preserved it was from the structure itself, to the barn, the museum with cars & buggies, the garden and the interior. It is... More

This is a must see ! The palace is beautiful inside and out. The gardens are breathtaking. To walk among the sculptural gardens and and lovely fountains is a great experience. The rooms in the palace tell a wonderful story of the Dutch royalty.

This attraction was our favorite in our recent trip to The Netherlands. Allow several hours to see it all. The visit starts with the original stables, where vintage vehicles and even a few horses are housed. The palace visit is fascinating. You see numerous rooms and each has an explanation on items in the room, it's function, and from what... More

A chance to have a real inside-look of royal palace with contemporary rooms and farnitures. We have 3 kids (3.5,7.5,10) and they enjoyed the visit [it was "nice"]. The first compound presenting the stables of the palace and exhibition of the royal cars, very cool! There is a special room with 2 options of kids activities (art). At the back... More
