I'm a regular guest at this place and I have NEVER been disappointed! No matter which cocktail you order, it's going to be perfectly made.
If you are unsure what to order the staff will help you to make a excellent choice.
It's open till 3 am from Tuesday to Saturday and great place to hangout in style. Try to reserve or be in time, it's no a insider tip anymore and the seats are limited.
Worst case, try a cocktal to go or directly order botteled-cocktails, it's still worth it ;-)
Tales Bar is my save bet when I have guests because I know that these guys deliver!
Tip: Try the Pisco Punch with Pineapple infused Pisco...

The Tales bar has quickly become an institution in Zurichs‘ bartender scene. An excellent choice for a night out with great drinks served by an excellent crew. This bar is often frequented by other bartenders, which is always an excellent sign! It is hidden away right in the center of Zurich, and has an amazing cocktail menu. Seating is however limited, so make sure you come early, as there are only about 25 seats.
Personal tip: if you can, make sure you sit at the bar!

Small, cozy, traditional cocktail bar with an extensive, very interesting bar! The cocktail menu is all in German, as English speakers the staff were very happy to give us recommendations chat us through things. We had a number of cocktails all which were really great. Would definately go back & recommend. The staff were so lovely!
Dress code - Mix of people from citybreak tourists to business dressed people after work, we didnt feel out of place.
We didnt have food but that is also an option here.

Total rip off and the worst gin tonic I had in this millennium. Absolutely unacceptable.
The gin was not existing but served with cucumber (!!!) which we never ordered. Six of those drinks. When complaining they did not even make an effort to correct.
My advice: make a big big turn around this place.

Herzlichen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben, unsere Bar zu bewerten.
Es tut mir sehr leid, dass Sie Ihren Aufenthalt bei uns nicht geniessen konnten.
Für Ihren nächsten Barbesuch würde ich Ihnen gerne ein paar Tips geben.
- Willigen Sie nicht in eine Bestellung ein, welche ein Kollege getätigt hat, ohne zu wissen, was dieser bestellt hat (nämlich einen Hendricks Tonic mit Gurke und Pfeffer).
- Reklamieren Sie nicht erst, wenn die Drinks fast leer sind ( vorher hätten wir das sehr gerne korrigieren können)
- Reklamieren Sie in einer angemessenen Art und Weise.
Wie oben bereits erwähnt, tut es mir wirklich sehr leid, dass Ihr Aufenthalt in der Tales Bar so schlecht war.

Fantastic cocktails. Food till late in the morning. Absolutely great to enjoy a special bar atmosphere with a cocktail of your choice or even surprise drink for your actual mood. A bar that also the bar pros like to visit.

The bar is very small but it's still nice and cosy. The staff is super friendly and competent. The cocktails are amazingly good and they also mix cocktails which are not on the menu

This place is great. Fantastic atmosphere, great drinks, wonderful service, interesting decor. Despite being full the staff had time to chat occasionally. However you might need to be lucky because if all the seats are taken they don't let more people in - which is great if you're in, but a problem if you're not.

I love this place. It’s like nowhere you’ve ever been before. Unique. Truly unique.
The quality of the cocktails are out of this world. The owners and cocktail girl are not workers... they are artisans. Amazing.
Come here. Try it.... just don’t expect to find a seat straight away. Such an amazing experience... you’ll love it. I promise.

Awesome cocktails, the best i had, highly recommended. I found this bar aside from touristic area, i felt at home in this bar like in a living room. Cozy and warm, very inspiring

The bar was nice, staff was attentive, and drinks were good. I didn't find the menu overly creative and the location was a bit odd. Overall a solid spot but I much prefer Old Crow when in Zurich
