After our walking tour of Zurich’s old town, we decided to return to our hotel for a short break. We strolled on the Niederdorfstrasse. The narrow road is parallel to the river Limmat. There is an old-world charm about this neighborhood. Restaurants and variety shops...More

A great area in Zurich for a walk. We started at the pier on Lake Zurich and walked up the right hand side of the canal (with the lake at our back) towards Grossmünster, and beyond it is Niederorf, an area full of shops, restaurants...More

Niederdorf is a lively and picturesque area of the Old Town full of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. It is very pleasant to walk around the narrow streets and little squares (each with its own fountain) admiring the old buildings, window-shopping and enjoying a break...More

Went there twice in the last few months to meet with out of town friends. I was suprised at how lively the place was now. It certainly has gentrified over the years: now there is Desigual, Lulu Lemon, expensive watch stores, etc. Met my friends...More

We took a long walk through this neighbourhood with much of our time focussed on a long pedestrian laneway called Neidorfstrasse. Here, there are a plethora of both open air and indoor restaurants, cafes, bars and fast-food outlets. There are also a number of quirky,...More

A cool place to stroll around in and browse through the various interesting shops and cafes that are on offer. Night time scene is not too bad either, lots of little bars for talking nonsense with friends :)

Very nice old buildings and churches. Also a great place to shop but always little more expensive and fancy. Good tattoos studios are also available. And great for sneaker shopping (Not like LA oder NYC in anyway but its good)

We stayed in this neighborhood that is rather quiet until the meal times hit and people get off of work for the day. It is a great location to stay in Zurich within easy walking distance of many main sights and very connected to public...More

There is a Tram Stop called "Central" right there where the Niederdorf Strasse(=Street) starts. Also Zürich's Main Railway Station(Bahnhof) is only few minutes walk away.
