I do not usually write reviews about places I’ve been especially if they are for free. We came to visit this Chinese Garden because I’ve been living in Zurich for 13 years and thought it was time to visit. When we were by the entrance the security guard/cashier was first explaining the do’s and don’ts in the garden. He mentioned about the corona protocol etc. Then he heard us talking in our language, Filipino. When we were by the entrance, he immediately came to an elderly woman to stopped her from taking pictures of the flowers while pausing with her hands. She did not even touch the flowers. At first ok, well if it is not allowed then no problem. Later on he came to us again and said, all Filipinos are the same, they always pick and touch everything in the Garden. They don’t have respect. That for me was rude! Then we walked and took some pictures and you are only allowed to take one single picture, he always come to us and mentioned that we have to pay 150 francs if we want to have a photo shooting, that we aren’t allowed to stay longer in the park, even if there aren’t anybody around, that Filipinos shouldn’t be inside. He’s damn rude. The management should be doing something to investigate and shouldn’t rant on people and make racial discrimination. Until we left, he made sure that he was waiting by the exit and he shouted at us in front of the others and repeatedly saying the same words over and over again. Nice place but with a bad guy in there, not worth the visit!

Horrible food. I ordered duck with rice and vegetables, CHF 17. I got old, fat meat with no taste, lot of overcooked rice and low quality imitation of vegetables. First and last time. This place should not serve food, omg 🤣 hard to believe they serve sth like that in Zurich...

A small, beautifully located Chinese garden by Lake Zurich, some interesting elements and large fish swimming in the pond. It's definitely worth a look here.

we paid 4 Swiss Franc each to enter the garden! Seriously Zurich? It is truly a waste money and time, a small garden with a pond and cheap Chinese architecture. I was disappointed, the views outside the garden on the lake and mountains and the beautiful scenery worth much more and for free. Not recommend it.

Very unfriendly stuff at the entrance. We helped to carry a stroller of a young mother. She also had a dog and the cashier said very rude, that dogs are not allowed and we have to take the other side to go back. We were also with a dog and usually outdoor stuff is also allowed to the dogs. Well, not the Chinese garden. I’m pretty sure I’ll never go there again, because of the behavior of the cashier.

Nothing special, and you have also to pay to enter.
I tried to reach it walking from the center expecting a nice garden, I mean yes it is very well cared, but I was expecting more .

The Garden is situated in a garden by the Lake, but once you're inside, you are completely out of there.. it is a small garden, but it is a paradise in small... everything is perfect, from the trees, landscape, birds- singing, to perfect tranquility you start feeling also inside of you... they are renovating the "temple" but it doesn't matter for your stay! Due to that, the price was also reduced! What we find great also, there is a restaurant also, inside of the object, where you can enjoy original dishes, too... we had just perfect day all along to Zürich, and we will come again, for sure! I loved it all!

A good impression of a chinese garten and it is really well maintained. However, it is so small that the fee paid is not worth visiting this park. Outside the park you can sit on several bench and enjoy the view of the lake.

We walked over 2 miles to get to this place only to find a small concrete cubical with a pond, some rocks, and oriental gazebo. It was 4 CHF to enter which wasn't worth it and everything can be seen in the garden in a matter of minutes. The inside looked cheap and dirty! Definitely would NOT recommend. Go hike Uetliberg instead!

Except for views of construction cranes if you look skyward, this Chinese oasis seems to shut out the rest of the world. Lovely traditional features make for perfect photo ops. Children visiting with parents were having a wonderful time.
