Loved this flussbad! Completely unexpected and unprepared we came across this flussbad (river swimming pool) when walking along the river. We had no swim wear: but fear not: they rent out shorts and towels. To swim along the stream of the river was a great experience. And if you don't like swimming in (ice) cold water: the look of it... Who jumps off a bridge into dirty water and floats in the fast current to the end climb out and walk back to the bridge and do it all over again. Oh wait the local Swiss people. Some people appeared to use the current to swim against for exercise it was quite funny watching them. People just lay on concrete... More

This is so popular that it is crowded. It used to be the area of the famous needle park back in the 90's. Hard to believe now that this place was full of junkies at that time. It was a railway station originally which was not in use. Today it has a few bars, beach volley, cycle paths and the... More

Great spot for sunbathing and chilling. Lot's of local's jump of the near by bridge and float towards your original sunbathing spot with minimal effort. Bar is open next to it to for refreshments.

This area is wonderful as it runs al,ong the river. When the season is open you can swim here as it is supervised, there are life guards. There is a strong current so it is not recommended for people who are not reasonable swimmers. Often people will swim against the currect and never move, a way to train. It has... More

very popular in summertime, this river bath is crowded with younger folks. for some years, especially the German hippsters dominated, so that locals started calling it the German Beach. Best time to visit: for a very eary morning or a late night swim in summer.

Switzerland and 35C do not go hand in hand, so it is nice to have the option to swim in the Letten. There is a bathing area with lockers and chairs and also different food take aways with tables and chairs. You can go for a swim and then enjoy a quite bite. Lifeguard is on duty in select areas.
