Great views from Lindenhof on old town of Zurich

Great area for relaxing after walking the old town. Great views on Limmat. Watch the locals play petanque.

Uphill park with benches, activities for kids, and nice views of the river. I'd come here before sunset or maybe early morning. Particularly nice with a partner or friends. Maybe bring a book or e-reader. Access from the north or south.

By far, the best view of the city. Checked out the view from the university, whose terrasse was also recommended as a viewpoint, but was disappointed. Lindenhofplatz is where you want to view the city.

While strolling in the center of Zurich don't miss this beautiful panorama of the river and the old city. It is a very nice public garden (with free toilets) located on a hill above the river. we walked up after visiting the Giacometti hall at the police headquarters near by, and had a little rest and admired the view. bring... We came from south watched some people playing chess on the west side and then took some view pictures to the Limat river and the old city in the east side. And this is it. 10 - 15 minutes as part of a walk in the old city.

We were exploring the city on foot and came upon this little park on the top of a hill by chance. We followed a charming street up the hill, then some stairs a little bit more up, and, voila, the park appeared on our left unexpectedly. We had been walking the city for a while, so this was a nice... More

I keep believing this is the secret center of town: right in the middle you climb up the hill, best is from the Rennweg and then down to the other side along the river. In summer very relaxing under the shadow of the trees, while enjoying the view into the Niederdorf, the river and the University.

From here you have a breathtaking view of the old town, the Limmat river and the cathedral. It is a quiet area where you can see zuriqueses playing chess or petanque.
