We had a fantastic visit to the museum, enjoying the works of local and world renowned artists. Brilliant works from Giacometti, Monet, Van Gogh, Chagall, and more. Well laid out to flow between periods and styles with ease and natural progression.

The Second Floor of this museum was breathtaking - stuffed full of world class artists like Giacometti and Picasso, all beautifully displayed.

Based on private collections so range is a bit eccentric, but really strong in post-impressionist (Munch, Van Gogh) and of course Swiss art. And Chagall. Some nice old masters too. Huge Giacometti collection, lots of sculpture of course but also many paintings. Pricey at 16F...More

Must see place in Zurich. Excellent collection of impressionists, nicely displayed, good lighting, was not busy in the afternoon of my visit.

I agree with others - - a must see if you like art. Many of the rooms are intimate and you can enjoy the art "up close and personal."

It's a good museum. You can see lots of ancient artwork. But it's not advisable for young children. You can spend a good time over here.

I spent some 5 hours going through their magnificent collection of artworks by 20th century artists, tickets for special exhibitions (now there is a wonderful Robert Delaunay exhibition on) are quite expensive compared with other European museums (23CH), but it is worth it.
