This gothic edifice was once the parish Church (Catholic) of Zurich. Then along came Swingl, mentor of Luther of it all changed! So the interior is unusually deserted of the splendour seen in most prominent churches is this part of Switzerland....but it contains an air of history which hits one as you pass into its grey interior. Then you notice... More

Located on a side road to the Bahnhofstrasse, near Paradeplatz - a tram hub where many rails add to the austere end-1800 look, it provides a superb view of a nice sacred building that can lift your spirits. It is very important in the history of Zurich and the Reformation. While the interior is austere as with many protestant /... More

Like many of the churches in Zurich, this one looked better from the outside than it did inside and, unlike many other reviewers, I was disappointed with the interior. I was particularly annoyed that they told us to queue to register and donate. If they want to charge an admission fee, then be honest about it. In the end, we... More

This church is one of the major churches in Zurich city centre and is one of the churches that was pivotal in the reformation times. In the interior, this church is ornate and elaborate and one can take time and sit down and enjoy the architecture. Worth visiting as a part of Zurich's history.

Went to see the Chagall Windows, amazing, the architecture and renovations done over the years retain the beauty of this building.

The stained glass by Chagall was beautiful and you can sit and admire them as long as you wish. It is a shame that churches ask you to pay to enter - which they here called a donation but was actaully mandatory - but it was only 2CHF each and was worth it to see the stained glass.

The old church has beautiful stained glass windows of the modern artists Chagall and Augusto Giacometti. Next to the church there is an old cloyster with nice Fresco's.

The church is in the midst of a square and one was taken aback by the 2 franc charge to begin with. However once inside it was breathtakingly beautiful. The Marc Chagall windows made the interior of the church just so much different.

Nice church with beautiful stained glass. Requested 2 Swiss francs per person for entry, definitely worth the price of entry.
