We had a lot of fun doing the axe throwing! Luis our coach created a great atmosphere by cheering and making jokes. We booked the "Whistlepunk" package and learned to throw the axes in different ways, even trickshots or two axes at once, and also did a little competition. We never did axe throwing before, so it was a completely new experience to us and we liked it a lot. In a way it's quite simple and yet very exciting.

Great Axe-perience!

this axeperience was amazing! we had so much fun axcept that my girlfriend beat me at the competition with a bullseye shot😂 Ian is a great coach with his awesome dog Chuck! we recommend this to anyone who's looking for a fun activity and mondays at 12pm is for sure a perfect time to go if you want a bit more privacy😁
we'll definitely come back!😊

Extremely great fun!

We went for a double date to Axtra and had a super fun time throwing axes for the first time. It seems a bit intimidating at first but Ian is a great host and operator making sure everyone felt comfortable followed the safety rules. To start off we were given some good tutorials on getting throwing technique and then we were off throwing. Each of us got the axe to stick in the board after a few failed attempts; when you get that bulls eye (or anywhere on the board)it's very satisfying. Definitely recommend this activity for anyone and everyone, no matter on your athletic ability you'll have a great time. Thanks so much! We'll be back!

It is definitely a unique experience and fun. However, since only about two wood walls were in a good shape (out of approximately 8) we mainly played on those. The rest of the walls were in a shape that the axes almost couldn‘t stick to the walls since there was almost no wood left/big holes. Definitely should be fixed

A fun way to find out what i am bad at

very cool experience - brought my office there for a team event and it was great to see how good (and bad) some of us turned out to be at this! great attention to detail, frequent tips and tricks while you are throwing, and overall a very chill atypical night out in zurich. ian was super nice and personable, im not sure how someone is able to be so attentive with a bunch of axes flying through the air but he does it! 10/10 would recommend :)

Axe throwing at its best!

Such a fun and unique experience! From a friendly and positive welcome, it set the tone for the amazing and somewhat sporty evening … where comfortable cloths and shoes. With a detailed introduction from a great coach, one is taught multiple techniques on how to through an Axe and one also gets to practice these (coaching is provided throughout). Within a short time, success is achieved and can prove this during a mini competition.
It is also worth mentioning that during the current COVID-19 period, Axtra takes safety measures seriously through distancing and disinfecting all surfaces. Definitely an alternative to staying home during the week. We will definitely be back.

I had a really fun time throwing axes and dominating my friend :). If quarantine is weighing in on you, I highly recommend axtra in Zurich for a good shot of adrenaline rush. The plays has good music, drinks and a is vibrant. Ian also gives great tips and ensures the safety of the customer during the covid-19 situation. #freecorona #funthingstodoinzurich #axtra

Works for any age!

Took my parents (66 and 67) for a different outing. Both were a little hesitant at the start as they thought it was for "the cool kids". This went away very quickly!! Ian made them feel comfortable right off the bat and after a couple of trials my mum was doing a vicory dance after her first stick! We all came out with a big smile on our faces and a great story to tell our friends. Thank you!

Axe throwing is a great group activity and the hosting team does a very good job. We were there with a couple of guys and will surely come back. "Männerabig" threw here and almost rocked the leaderboard... „no pressure🤯“

Great fun!

Went here with a group of guys for a bachelor party. We all had a fantastic time! Extremely nice staff, they showed us how to throw the axes properly and even demonstrated some tricks, and also set up a competition for us. Would highly recommend this if you are looking for something fun and different to do in Zurich. I am already looking forward to coming back.
