Where the Winterthur upper class used to go?

Winterthur is not in vain considered a garden city: around the old town, a belt of representative villas of former city sizes, surrounded by magnificent gardens. In the past, the Winterthur upper class was completely in private conversion; Today, many of the artfully landscaped parks are open to the public.

Come with us on a historical tour through secluded gardens and take a look behind once well-sealed wrought-iron gates. In addition to gnarled oaks, fragrant roses and wide linden trees, there are also some exciting stories there.

Not the best museum I've visited but also not the worse, Overall decent collection but not impressed by the 20th century collection. But then again I've never understood the 20th century art.

What an amazing collection of paintings! Lovers of art should be encouraged to go to Winterthur if only for this museum, which is of course not the only one in town. The hundred year old building is an art object in itself and the staff are very helpful, and speak good enough

The first room contained some lovely Monet's and some by Van Gogh however, there were only a few other rooms filled with some more modern works which we were not particularly interested in. There was one Picasso that I could see but overall I feel as though it, sadly, was not
