Where the Winterthur upper class used to go?

Winterthur is not in vain considered a garden city: around the old town, a belt of representative villas of former city sizes, surrounded by magnificent gardens. In the past, the Winterthur upper class was completely in private conversion; Today, many of the artfully landscaped parks are open to the public.

Come with us on a historical tour through secluded gardens and take a look behind once well-sealed wrought-iron gates. In addition to gnarled oaks, fragrant roses and wide linden trees, there are also some exciting stories there.

Mostly lesser known Swiss artists. Interesting,as a visitor, to gain an insight into Switzerland as the Swiss see it. Quiet, on a weekday, and well worth a visit.

Expensive museum (like most place in Switzerland), but definitely worth the visit. A nice variety of paintings from the dedicated collector. If you have to choose one place to visit, I would definitely recommend this one.

We went here after first visiting the Kunstmuseum and wished we had skipped that in favour of this one. There was just too much to see and we wanted more time and energy! Tickets were on the steeper side but were definitely worth it, there were several floors and many rooms with
