We were really lucky to be there on springtime. The flowers were like little pieces of art. Breathtaking view to the lake and mountains!

The microclimit means it was snowing in November about 15 minutes out of town but here along the lake in Montreux it was 45, breezy but palm trees and fresh flowers blooming. This is a romantic and photographic area.

The lakeside promenade is so pretty and peaceful. A walk along the promenade is delightful! The lake, mountains and well tended gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll on a beautiful sunny day. We walked from the fairmont to the chateaux chilli on is a beautiful way to spend the morning or afternoon while in classy montreux

Even in November, in the rain, there are still wonderful colourful flowers and the autumnal colours of the trees to look at. You can walk for miles along the promenade with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. This is a well maintained area and surprisingly not very busy.

With wonderful early morning views of the clouds lifting against the mountains, the walk from the train in Montreux to Castle Chillon was an easy and beautiful way to start the day. Abundant flowers with great views.

We stopped and walked the lake promenade to gawk at these beautiful flower gardens...great views through the park into the Alps in the distance in France over Lac Geneva (Leman). Postcard quality photo ops abound, place smells great too...have a coffee or cool drink and enjoy the afternoon or gorgeous sunsets on the lake.

This promenade (or strolling area) along the Lake is beautiful all year round. The flowers are arranged according to a theme, this year jazz music. there are many eating facilities, street artists, we even benefitted from a public jazz concert around sunset. Easiest is to come here by boat from Lausanne, a very enjoyable trip too.

I had no plan for this, but couldn't help myself dragged in to this promenade. Its cute, its amazing & has a magnetic feeling to it. My family watched a nice sunset there, had icecream & some souveniers & then we left. Everything was too good here. Very soothing feel to it.
