Nicolas was a fantastic host for our group who was here on a ski trip in Chamonix. This was definitely the highlight of the week. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area, history and wines of the region. If you are considering booking this trip and thinking this is a bit expensive, it was worth every penny. Our entire group had a fantastic time..

My wife and I had the pleasure to hire Nicholas and his company Swiss Riviera Wine Tours for day tour around Lake Geneva for a day trip to some local wineries and towns. To say it was a great experience is understated. Nick was the consummate tour guide as his knowledge and perfect English provided much insight to the history of the lake and the communities surrounding it. We spent the first trip hitting some local wineries and having great conversations about their wine region and various wines. It was obvious Nick knew most everyone we met and we were greeted like old friends. We enjoyed the trip so much we booked and second trip and invited our friends to join us as we knew they would love the experience. Boy did they!! On our second adventure we hit a couple new wineries along the lake and then headed across the lake to France for a fantastic lakeside lunch in Evian. Having Nick join us for lunch and all the tastings just added to the experience especially his knowledge and ease of translating for us made it that much more enjoyable. If ever visiting Lake Geneva I assure you that you cannot go wrong hiring Nick!! Enjoy!!

Thank you Trent for the very kind feedback! I’m sorry I’m so delayed on this as you can see, I haven’t updated myself to LinkedIn☺️ You were both open to exploring and having fun is the best way to learn! I truly hope to welcome you back for either our new Truffle dog tour or welcome you aboard our new Nimbus boat. Wishing you all the best!

My family was on a two week trip in Switzerland and France and to break up the train ride from Zurich to Paris, we stopped in Lavaux for a wine adventure. I cant express how worth it was and how great Nicolas was as our guide. The landscape and vineyards are incredibly unique with a backdrop that is one of the most beautiful in the world (literally!), lake Geneva and the Alps. We went to a few wineries that felt like we were being welcomed into their homes, and had fondue that was so good it ruined any fondue that I've found in the states. I'd highly recommend Nick and stopping in this area. I just wish we'd had more than half a day!

Hard to believe that it’s one year ago that you were on your way to the French Open and you came into the train station in Lausanne and off we went to the Vineyard! What a delight to have welcomed your family from San Francisco and showing you these pretty little Swiss Vineyards. I really enjoyed the time with all of you.! Thank you

We spent a fabulous day with Nicolas exploring the vineyards and cities of Lausanne, Montreux and Vevey. From the moment we met Nicolas, he was warm, friendly and knowledgeable! Both wineries were very welcoming and seemed to have very special relationships with Nicolas, which was passed along to us as well. We enjoyed Nicolas' sense of humor, information about the countryside and fluent (perfect) English. Highly recommend connecting with Nicolas and spending the day with him!

Our experience with Swiss Riviera Wine Tours was excellent. Our communication with Nicolas while setting up the trip was seamless. Our guide, Emmanuel, was extremely personable and knowledgeable. While touring through the countryside, we learned about the long history of wine making in the region. The highlight of the day was a wonderful lunch and wine tasting in a vineyard with stunning views. Thank you Nicolas and Emmanuel for a great day!

The Swiss Riviera wine tours group has put together a very good and authentic Swiss experience of wine with a great history behind it. Located in a very peaceful and quaint part of a hill side with an amazing view to lake geneva and surrounding areas all the way out to the horizon. Very prestige vehicles to transport you to the location from point of pick up. Providing very interesting and intricate information about not only their own family produced wines, but information on winemaking itself with a tasting to turn knowledge to power. Great personalities of all staff involved and a more than welcoming ambience. Definitely recommend this to travellers who can spare 2-3 hours in their day to experience a wine tour.

My wife and I have been frequenting the Vevey/Lausanne area for about 10 years and have stayed at various hotels around and even in the Lavaux/Chardonne area of Switzerland, but never have taken the time to learn about the regional wine economy in southern Switzerland. This fall, we decided to book a day tour if the area and asked the conceriege at our hotel to recommend a tour service. When Riviera Wine Tours was selected by our high-end hotel, we were expecting a nice tour but were happily surprised that it matched our 5-star expectations. Lloyd was a convivial fellow with a great mastery of the wine production system there in the unique terraces of the Lavaux area above Lac Leman east of Lausanne. We particularly enjoyed the light hearted yet knowledgeable approachto wine, not too stuffy. We were taught how to properly taste wine, but not ridiculed for our beginner status. We were given the long and storied history of monks constructing the stone terraces dating back 1000 years.
It truely was an enhancement of our lives to take this tour. We strongly recommend it as a great way to broaden your knowledge of history and wine in Europe.

Lloyd, thank you for making our visit so memerable. This is my second time using Swiss Riviera Wine Tours but my first time meeting Lloyd. I'm very happy to have met him and even more pleased that he was avaialable to guide our wine experience through Chateau d'Aigle. Chateau d'Aigle is a wine lover's dream. There is a museum with hands-on displays to teach you about the winemaking process; from the ground to the bottle. I could have stayed in the museum all day listening to the information. This museum plus Lloyd, I left the tasting with knowledge I could find NO WHERE ELSE. This really was a once in a lifetime experience. The chateau is historic, of course, and beautiful with fantastic views. The wines we tasted were unique and tasted even better after Lloyd taught our whole group how to taste properly. Living in San Francisco, just a short jaunt from wine country, you would think I would have learned every trick by now. Switzerland must be one of the best places to grow wine. The wines are just divine and I can't think of a better way to experience them. Thanks again Lloyd and Swiss Riviera Wine Tours!

What a great way to visit this very special region! The tour was well organized, staff was very knowledgeable and you could feel the passion in there explanations. We were joined by a Chinese couple and it was great to see that the guide was adapted and he spoke Chinese and perfect English so that we all were confortable and could make the best of it.

The region is really so beautiful with some breathtaking views from the hills and the vignards dropping into the lake with a backdrop if impressive mountains on the other side really unique! Swiss Riviera Wine Tours must have some really strong relationships as they had access even keys at times of the cellars for some interesting wine tastings!

An overall wonderful experience which we are looking forward to the next one!

My husband and I felt very fortunate to find Nick Abundo and Swiss Riviera Wine Tours!! We have traveled extensively in Europe and always enjoy exploring the wine offerings of each region. The area around Lake Geneva is breathtaking and we were given a "front row" seat to enjoy not only the beautiful surroundings, but wonderful food and wine as well! Our experience taking great wine tours in Tuscany and several areas of France made exploring this Swiss region a "must do". You won't be disappointed. We can't wait to return.
