Enjoy the walk next to the water

We went through the park, next to the water. There are many things to see. Also many photo opportunities.

Located on Montreux's flower flanked promenade, this is a worthy sculpture. Queen's Mountain Studio is just a short walk away. The statue is a popular photo stop.

The statue is there in the middle of the lakeshore walk. It is good to take a quick picture. The walk is pretty.

The day I visited there were also sculptures around the lake. It was a very enjoyable visit. Views are amazing.

Located near the Covered Market, this statute honors his memory and provides a good photo op. Get off the #201 bus at "Marche Couvert" stop for easy access. His pose did strike me a little bit like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, but I guess that is blasphemous to true followers.

It is about the walkway around the lake there... it is one of the most beautiful places to visit in South-West Switzerland.... or a must visit one. A beautiful walk-way that passes a number of cafes, restaurants and children playground. Fantastic lake view from there where you can set and enjoy the sunset.

... used to live and work in Montreux, his second home, and this city, whose name is strongly linked to the history of rock music, devoted this monument to its illustrious citizen and world famous rock singer. Other rock and jazz musicians have statues dedicated here, Freddie takes the top spot on the lake promenade as due to a master... More

This is a statue and brief tribute to Freddie Mercury along the waterfront promenade. Unless you are a fan, I would not recommend going out of your way to visit.

An excellent tribute to the late, great Freddie Mercury who's love for Montreux is well known. He spent the best part of his life on this wonderful area - as he said, It's Bliss!

It was interesting to see and walk by on the way from the train station to the Chillon Castle. I grew up after this era of music so I am not really a die hard fan however I am sure everyone who loved Queen would like to see this. As for the statue it was a very well done statue... More
