Geography at its best... Go for a wander to the alpine garden, august is like spring in the UK up there... Wrap up too, it's cool and the breeze can quickly turn into a gale. Best view of lake Geneva by far.

After a beautiful train ride to the hights of Rochers de Naye you are fully compensated and happy with the matnificent panorama over the easten part of the Lac Leman. It simply is a ferry tale and should be programed on a sunny day to get the most of the beautiful picture in front of your eyes.

Reached by a reliable cog railway from lakeside Montreux, Les Rochers-de-Naye afford breathtaking views on all sides of the Swiss Alps. The Alpine Flower garden is an easy walk from the top, and marmots (often too shy to make an appearance) are kept in enclosures near the main restaurant building. In summer, we have found it fun to feast on... More

A 50 minute train ride with amazing views en route and a panorama of Alpine scenery on top. Marmots will delight children and the Alpine garden the gardeners. Cafe facilities. Hourly train. Choose a good day - ours was but still terminated in mid afternoon as the clouds covered us.

This place is perfect for a day trip. Take the train to the top and then try the hiking trails, visit the notanical garden, stop at the marmots and for lunch at the restaurant. The views are simply amazing.

Peaceful train ride up the mountain, and gorgeous vistas from the top. Once at the top there are a number of great trails to follow, a mountain top garden which shows you the different types of plants which grow in this area, as well as a restaurant and gift shop.

We wanted to go up to Rochers de Naye --given some good reviews we had read in Trip Advisor-- the weather conditions were not very good (it was totally covered by clouds). So, it didn’t make sense to spend the money to see clouds and not getting views of the Lake. Alternatively, the train to Caux is FREE when you... More

It's a must if you are spending some days in Montreux! The train up and then going back is AMAZING! Just sit back and relax watching the breathtaking view of Montreux. It is good to go any time of the year really, during Christmas it's magic, your kids will love it. In summer the view is amazing while you walk!... More

You reach Rocher des Nayes by the Golden Pass furnicular railway. It's very easy to get to, with trains from Montreux station. Get a Riviera Pass from your hotel and you receive a decent discount. However, the timetable just totally went to pot! We arrived, thinking our train would be 20 minutes and there was a very full one already... More
