At first, I wasn't interested in taking this trip to anywhere, boy was I wrong. The view from above Montreux and up is absolutely breathtaking. The ticket sales rep recommended us visiting Gstaad instead of Zweisimmen. But there are smaller, beautiful, and quaint towns to...More

A great day trip. The chocolate train had beautiful, vintage coaches, stopped in the picturesque town of Gruyeres with its great castle and Fondue restaurants and then visited Cailers Chocolate factory for unlimited tastings. We had a great day and took many beautiful pictures.

We could not book a seat online. We went in to a station and were able to reserve a seat for 8 euros each. Not sure that a seat reservation was necessary in November on a weekday as many seats were available. The ride was...More

Yes, the time table is available on the Golden Pass official website. This trip is very much doable. We did same itinerary in the month of June.
I would like to do a 5 day tour starting in Zurich and ending in Geneva. Day 1 in Geneva overnight and via train on day 2 into Lucern. What pass do i need and which train do I take to get to Lucern? Day 2 in Lucern, overnight and we would like to do a steam boat ride over Lake Lucern. What pass is required for boat ride over L/L? Day 3 via Golden Pass into Interlaken for an overnight. While at Interlaken we would like to go to Jungfrau. What pass do we need for this?, on which train? and how long does it take? Day 4, Can I cont with the Golden Pass into Zwesimmen and then onto Montreaux, then onto Geneva. The GPass ends in Montreaux so how do I get to Geneva and do a boat ride on L/Geneva, if its possible? Lastly is it at all possible to buy one pass that covers the whole toot? (trains, GPass, steam boat at L/L)?
