St-François church is well worth a visit, especially on Saturday evenings (5pm) for the free concerts, often performed by students from the nearby HEMU (collection at the end). There is also a quiet place inside if you want to get away from the noisy traffic....More
St Francois is the center of Lausanne and reflects much of Lausanne's character -banking, elegant stores and the famed Palace Hotel. Stop here and have a cafe or enjoy some great bars and discos in short walking distance.
A historical square in the very centre of the city, only 7 minutes away from the main railway station by foot. A beautiful medieval church St. Francis is a must to visit. The post and banks offices. Promisingly looking fashion boutiques.
Starbucks, a few old but uncharming restaurants, like the Chinese place upstairs WTF. The tea room/café/bar that had a huge terrace is gone. The crepe and ice cream seller's kiosk is gone. Only the Kiosque St François is slightly interesting, but closes at 7pm and...More
