Lots of mature trees and steep paths, within easy reach of both Grancy and Delices metro stations, but the gardens feel tired and unenthusiastic ally maintained. Probably now over-mature but nice views of the city areas from up on high and a "lung" for the city. Other Botanic Gardens in other countries / cities offer so much more…

When I was here with two friends, it was damp and drizzly. The food for lunch was good, the wine complemented the soup, salad, sandwiches. The price was reasonable, even for Switzerland.

With a tiny museum and educational facility in its centre, this oasis offers a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the plants.

The fine weather made our time here very enjoyable. The urban plant exhibition was interesting, and the view from the top was memorable.

Small but interesting botanical garden with plants divided into sections - ponds with waterlilies, medicinal, alpine, rock garden, etc. and beautiful trees. There is a stunning Japanese white magnolia near the main entrance that blooms in May (short-lived flowers). Climb up to the top past the larches to the gate onto the summit of the hill for good views over the lake and the rooftops of "sous-gare" (below the station) part of Lausanne.…
