Very nice renovated boat

Take an evening cruise and watch the scenery as well as the boat machinery (recently renovated). Too crowded on week-ends in the summer!

Yes, please do this! Beautiful modernized boats .... see on the lower level the motors turning. You'll be suprised There are actually about 6-8 of these boats making regular scheduled stops -- a tear sheet should be available at your hotel or at the docks where the stop - round trip- North at Montreux, east Villeneuve, west at Lausanne, south... Traveling on this lovely boat is quite an experience. Once on board, having been welcomed by the charming crew, you enter the lower deck and can see the workings of this paddle steamer, huge Pistons going round and the paddles themselves churning the water. I would recommend travelling first class as we did as you get wonderful views and more... More

Take a great trip over the lake on this beautiful boat. The trip from Ouchy to Montreux is particularly nice, as you get to see the Chillon castle up front on your way. There is a bar on board. First class is worthwhile.

This one is for all you petrol heads out there, This steam powered paddle steamer takes you back to Victorian times with its decor and service, although some staff can get a bit lippy if asked a difficult question. As soon as you board you notice the size and style of a gone by era with miles of solid wooden... More

Be aware that there is first class and second class they do check for your ticket a couple times during your trip. It's a 3 1/2 our cruise on the lake. You stop and 4 to 5 different ports. You can upgrade to first class. There's some snacks and bottles of wine you can buy. It's a very visual tour... More

We went just as it moved to off season but there were still plenty of boats on the lake. The paddle steamers are particularly brilliant, you can see the paddles go round through two windows. Love it!

Boat ride on Steam Paddle Boat is really nice and is worth trying. View of towns around the lake from boat is very beautiful.

When La Suisse nears the pier you can already see the attention which was given to her during her restaurations. The whole ship is a beautiful piece of engineering history. The deck is fully renovated as is all the railings and portholes. The brass shines and the paint job is perfect. The real masterpiece is the main steam engine situated... More

This is one of my favorite things to do in the world. Beautiful old paddle boats and unforgettable scenery. There are even white swans on the water.
