Stayed in Zermatt for a week and got the Peak Pass to allow us to use all teh lifts in the area. The trip to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is a must - the views from the summit are amazing with so many 4000m summits...More

We headed to the glacier palace whilst at Zermatt and highly recommend it, worth the price and time for beautiful views ! Cable car up was the most crazy ride as you go so high over such vast gaps but don’t let that put you...More

Take an early train (Sunnegga) before the crowd. Walk around the lake to enjoy a beautiful reflection of the Matterhorn. If you do not have enough time, just do this without the need of doing the whole tiring walk of all the 5 lakes.

I went here the end of September and had the whole glacier paradise practically to myself. There were 3 other people inside. It was awesome. Went down the ice slide 3 times. I've been inside a glacier in Iceland, but this was easier to get...More

The experience of the cable car's last leg of almost vertical pull and the panorama it offers only emphasises the enormity of nature and mankind's constant efforts to triumph over it...

This is a must....three lifts later and you are at the top of the Kleiner Matterhorn. Lots to see and to explore...be sure to walk through the tunnel inside the mountain.

The ride in the chairlift is reason enough to visit Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Gazing down at hikers, wandering cows and goats and taking in the green surroundings was a highlight. The views of the surrounding alps bordering neighbouring countries once we reached the viewing platform...More

Breath taking in more than one way, amazing mountain views but the air is very thin. Temperature in July just above zero talking C not F (so you need clothes for cold weather). The trip takes about one hour to the top all in all....More

Check the live webcam online before you buy the ticket. 3 cable cars to go up then you reach the top. Full price at 100CHF and half price if you have the half card or swiss pass. I would recommend when getting off at Trockener...More

The trip up was amazing views and so beautiful. Glacier palace is ok if you really like ice sculpture. But probably not worth the trip. We got a combo ticket and had 1/2 price passes so who knows how much we paid, so maybe it...More

Just read on TripAdvisor it takes 47 minutes. It takes three gondola rides from Zermatt. We stayed awhile at the second level to adjust to the altitude. Bathrooms on top are not free. Have fun. It is beautiful up there.

I was there August 12 and the earliest lift up from Zermatt was 6:30am according to the tourist info bureau. They would be the best to contact in case this has changed recently.

Yes, but you have to go high, so you may face limits due to the thin air.
