Well worth the price. We had a very young pilot who pointed everything out and because we had perfect weather, he even showed us the route climbers normally use. They only fly if they have at least four passengers - depending on the chopper - and I was the unfortunate person in the middle. I couldn't take photos but did... More

The helicopters generally take 5 plus a pilot so not sure why their website says 4. The seating arrangement is 1 next to the pilot (clearly the best view) and then a bench style seat 4 people wide in the row behind. As a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) this suited us well as it meant we... More

The helicopter I was in seats 5 passengers: one in the front next to the pilot, and 4 in the back. We were all charged the same fare: roughly $300 for a 30 minute flight. There is no doubt you get flown right up alongside the Matterhorn and all around the area. I could see just enough out the side... More

Love this air tour to the max. We found the brochure or advertising posters from somewhere at Zermatt. Then I looked up on google map to find the location. It was around 10-15 mins walk from the train station. If you're facing the train station, go right straight. The location will be on the left side. The door always close.... More

We made a last minute decision to do this, and it was the highlight of our trip! The sky was clear and blue, which certainly helped, but you just can't beat the view from the helicopter! We could see all the way to Mont Blanc! The pilot was fantastic, pointing things out along the way. This is not a cheap... More

We had this 20 minutes round trip booked as part of the hotel package. It is just below the village entrance. Efficient boarding and then a full round trip around the mountains of Zermatt including close up of the Matterhorn summit. Fully enjoyed!

Providing the weather cooperates with you, doing a sightseeing flight by helicopter with Air Zermatt is well worth it. And - as a bonus (that I didn't know about until booking the time) - they will drop you off on top of the mountain. Since I was on a ski trip this was perfect as I got dropped off at... More

After our airline lost our bags, we were not able to ski in Zermatt at all. On a whim, we decided to book a 20 minute flight with Air Zermatt, which seemed expensive, but since we weren't skiing, perhaps not such a big deal. 20 minutes felt like an hour! It was the most amazing experience, maybe of our lives.... More

If the weather is clear you will see the cross on the summit of the Matterhorn. As our pilot said, from the ground you see mountains, from the sky you see the Alps Top quality aircraft and pilots

If you don't do anything else when in Zermatt then you have to go one one of the helicopter tours. Flying through the valley, over ice glaciers and circling the summit of the Matterhorn at over 4000m high is such an amazing experience you will want to do it time and time and time again.
