Absolutely loved our first ever helicopter ride around the Matterhorn. This was highly recommended by a friend! A must-do activity if you can afford this and can fit it into your itinerary for any trip in Zermatt. Loved the up-and-close with Matterhorn, and really appreciated the tour of the helicopter hangar.

We surprised our teenage children with a helicopter tour of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Needless to say it is an incredibly expensive activity, but I will agree with the opinion of many reviewers in saying it is something that will live with you forever. The front-row sight of climbers approaching the summit of the Matterhorn - a completely unexpected bonus - is certainly something I will never forget. The booking-in process was efficient and friendly, the pilot exuded professionalism. It's a thrilling and at times frightening experience, but we really felt we were with a company that's earned its reputation for safety. In summary, if you are fortunate enough to be able to afford to do this, you should do it and you won't regret it.

If you have the (financial) possibility to book a helicopter flight in summer to see the area, the gletchers, the Matterhorn and others live, then this is a real must-do. We had the luck of being in Zermatt on a very sunny day, and then the views from the helicopter are stunning! Friendly pilot, lots of explanations during the flight. Beware: we had to wait 30 minutes because they had to attend to an emergency. For us that's logical and all in the game!

anyone thinking that the Netflix series is representative of these clowns - think again. We arrived at the pre-arranged time, paid the considerable amount for the flight, waited about an hour, only to be then told, by some uncanny bad luck, they couldnt take our family on a flight and we would have to come back another time. funnily enough they didnt say that to the group of locals who arrived after us, had a word to the boss and departed to do a spot of heli skiing. when i advised that we didnt have another time as this was the only time available as ski tickets and lessons had been booked, i was just met with a shrug of the shoulder and told that as far as they were concerned they could schedule the flight at any time convenient to them. You wont find this rather curious reservation of rights published anywhere. HINT to AIR ZERMATT CLOWNS- how about telling people that before they pay and before they wait an hour- it would make life a lot simpler and less expensive to what are supposed to be your clients.

We had the chance to book a helicopter trip over the Matterhorn and Alps. Is wa all we could hope for and more. Yes it was expensive but it was worth every penny. Besides the scenic view of the Matterhorn from all sides, we took a tour of the other mountains in the area and even flew close to climbers on one of the sheer cliffs. Our pilot knew the group we were watching.! He took us through glacier runs and we even stopped on the glacier. He was so knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. A class operation for us and our friends. Save your pennies and do this!
