The best place in Europe to summerski. But be careful. If you want to go up the mountain and buy a ski-pas they charge you both: 100 SFR for the ride up and 82 SFR for the skipas. They will NOT mention that the ride up is included. Even not on their website.

went to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn. As this is an expensive trip (car, hotel, food, etc) I spent only 1 full day in Zermatt. I had read a lot of reviews and articles on where to go to see the Matterhorn. Basically, you have 3 main choices: - Sunnegga - Rothorn (5 lakes trek) - Gornergrat - Matterhorn Glacier... More

If you need to ski or snowboard during the summer, this is the place. Weather is sometimes sketchy, so at the hotel concierge's recommendation, we waited until the day of to rent ski gear, and rented at the gondola station in Zermatt, just to make sure the mountain was open. Phenomenal views, not too crowded. Need to get there early,... More

I waited a long time to ski here and it was worth the wait. The skiing was great. the weather gorgeous, the snow perfect and the the people super. If youget tired of the Swiss side just go to the top and ski down on the Italian side. But remember to take your passport. It is my favorite spot to... More

I visited this area last February. The village of Zermatt has grown since my last visit in 1983, but it still retains its Swiss charm. Cars are prohibited, so arrival is via train and electric taxi carts and horse drawn sleighs (in winter) meet each arrival. The skiing in the paradise area is excellent, especially for intermediate skiers. Snow was... More

Zermatt is a cozy, lovely small town but it's one of the top destinations for skiing. it's a place one can go for ski during warm time. I went there in early October and had a great time practicing even as a beginner. weather is a bit unpredictable though, but you can check out weather condition real time at each... More

Spent a couple of mornings skiing on the glaciers. The snow freezes during the night and get quite soft at noon, so you skii between8-13. And then lunch and some hiking in the afternoon. An excellent vacation!

We had a wonderful experience with this company. I brought 20 students to be fitted for ski equipment for a summer ski trip in Zermatt. The staff was friendly and efficient, outfitting the group in record time with a smile. Unfortunately the hill was closed the next morning due to poor conditions. The store manager graciously refused our attempt to... More

Even though I only live in Bern skiing in zermatt is such a great experience. Even though its often touristy, the ability to escape to the slopes makes me happy. When the weather is nice in zermatt it just makes the day so much better. Totally recommend skiing here!
