Nice indoor entertainment for 1-2 hours
Oct 2020 • Family
This is a good size museum, showing the animals and fauna in the local area. We got a plan in English, and our 10-year olds were entertained for 1.5 hour, and so were we. Other nice museums nearby (art and history museum). Perfect for a rainy day. Not too many people, and the COVID setup seems sensible.

Collection of taxidermied local animals and a small amount of fossils and local minerals, housed in an historic building.

What a lovely museum in Sion. There are many animals on display and well curated. You would think that are about to move. Well worth a visit when in the area.

Fantastic little museum showing the nature of Valais
Aug 2016 • Family
Have been here several times as it is close to our house and we get free entry with Raiffeisen. It is well worth it, especially to see all the stuffed animals, which give you a good idea of the animals to be seen in the different biospheres in Valais. There is also a little room for the children to paint / draw and read magazines (Petit Salamandre is a good mag for young children and focuses on local nature)

Lovely little museam with many stuffed animals and birds where you can get really close to
Oct 2016 • Family
The museum is very interesting with lots of artefacts of the area and years gone by. The halls with the stuffed animals is amazing as some are bigger than I thought they would be you can get really close to them (but not allowed to touch). Well worth a visit and the walk up to the museum is stunning.

Worth a visit
Aug 2016
This museum was very interesting and a broad range of animals on show. Worth taking children along or just going as a couple and taking the time to really appreciate the wonders of nature. The exhibits have been ideally placed and the in depth attention to detail and wonder of the animals on show is truly humbling. As students it cost us 4 Chf each.
