I walked from Solalex: firstly an hour to Anzeindaz then two hours across and down to the lake. Quite barren landscape until you get to the woods. Pleasant mountain restaurant at the lake then various options to walk down the valley or take the bus....More

Remote alpine lake with fantastic colours in autumn. Numerous hiking opportunities around. Natural park with no ski lift etc.

One of many attractive mountain lover sites in Wallis. I'vee been there several times and hiked from east to west to north(not south because this is where you get there after half an hour of somewhat risky car drive) as some local friends kept challenging...More

The area is magical, one of my favorite places in Valais! We have seen several Bearded Vultures flying in and around the valley - these were re-introduced from extinction and seem to be doing fine. Don't forget your binoculars on this trip! You can hike...More

The access to the lake is along a narrow twisting road blasted out of a rock-face, you normally have to go to South America to find something like this. If you do not want to drive yourself (understandable!), take the post-bus, which only just squeezes...More

Even before you get there you will be driving along very narrow road with amazing scenery and beautiful hand crafted tunnels. The lake itself is really really beautiful and quiet.

Lovely landscapes even when it rains. The place is really quiet and it's amazing to rest our mind...
