I went there late October, and it was absolutely gorgeous. You can see stunning landscapes of Lake Lugano while having a relaxing walk through its paths: furthermore there are some pieces of art in the park. I think during spring it could be even better. It's worth it, as many other beautiful places in Switzerland.

I've been here with my colleagues to help them doing some maintenance works (we were volunteering during our "community day"). The Place and the view is very beautiful but we are disappointed for the following reason: we had established a budget per person for the lunch, decided the menu. They agreed with that budget but we got a surprise when... More

We had a free day while staying in Lugano and didn't know what to do, so a quick google search led us here and it was a very pleasant surprise. We went as a group of 6 adults ranging from 26-61 and everybody enjoyed themselves. The drive up was very nerve-wracking, as we were in a large van and it is... More

The park is an easy walk from the village of Carona, and winds its way through the hills overlooking Lake Lugano. The trees and shrubs are amazing, probably at their peak in spring time, but the walking is relatively easy. There is also wonderful art in the gardens.

Lovely views, playground for kids, cafe, you can picnic here also. There is a car park under the trees; bring your camera ; sometimes it can be a little windy as its up above the lake; obviously!

Parco San Grato is a great place to get away from it all. Vast space filled with woodland and garden walks. Some of the walks are themed around the different flowers and plants you will see. There are some wonderful sculptures throughout the park. Lots of space to stop, rest and picnic or there is a lovely restaurant where you... More

Fantastic place for everyone especially for families with children as there are plenty of play areas for them and spots in the shade for picnics and siestas. Lovely walks to be had too. I highly recommend it!
