Won't say for a rainy-day, but sun or overcast yes. Everyone should be on the water whether brief like to Gandria or far to Perlozzo or to Mercote or everywhere on the 'panorama'. Various docks to get on. Buy tickets at the dock or your hotel (maybe). Select you trip, your departure time. Do lunch, cafe, gelato-- whatever you like.... More

It was too hot for me to walk much (35 degrees), so in the morning I took a boat tour south to Ponte Tresa (about 3hours) and in the afternoon I took another trip in the opposite direction, probably a similar distance but stopping for an hour in Porlezza. it was the most relaxed I have been for a long... We took the lunch cruise at 11:50, this was perfect with a beautiful see of the south parts of the lake. The lunch was good and the service perfect ! Thanks.

We took the boat from one Tresa to Lugano. The trip took one and a half hour and gave us very nice views from the lake to beautiful surroundings. To be honest, Lugano was a bit disappointing. As there was no return to Ponte Tresa at a reasonable time, we took the train back, which was a very nice experience... More

Did the special evening cruise with Argentinian tango dancing and dinner. 2 hour cruise was very relaxing but the dinner was very average and very expensive at 68 CHF per person for the evening. We have done a longer day cruise with them on a previous trip to Lugano, which was much better value for money.

We took the lunch boat cruise which was a two hour cruise that included a main dish. We were served lasagna, pasta with salmon, and gnocchi. The food was delicious. The service for the meal was very good. The boat is filled with tables inside the boat and we got to choose where we wanted to sit. There were restrooms... More

There is nothing quite like a lake cruise to appreciate the lovely small towns and villages that have grown up around the traditional fishing economy of the past. Their historic style and colours are an unfolding tapestry to the eye.

Actually, we used their boats at least 2 times a day; the 7 day ticket was perfect for us. In addition to taking is between Lugano and Gandria, their boats took us to Melide and Morcote as well as to Italy where there are even more hikes available. Very friendly crews who soon recognized us due to our frequent ridership!

be careful as boats cut out stations if no apparent traffic,so if no one is disembarking and there appears to be no one on the quay you may be left so give it at least five minutes

Wonderful relaxing tour with a very nice bar for sipping on cocktails while taking the tour. You get to see the whole lake while the narrator describes the sights.
