    Magical
Totally beautiful... magical in any season and at anytime of the day. From sunset to sunrise the reflections of the light and trees on the lake are beautiful. A fantastic place to walk and enjoy the nature for the young and the elderly.

    Winter beauty
We walked on the frozen lake today, the ice is actually black! It's not suggested to walk on the lake (pay attention if you decide to do so) we went for a quick walk where some people were standing and the view it's just amazing. You can also walk around the lake, the path is great even with lots of snow. There's parking nearby.

    Lovely lake
We were lucky to stroll around this lake and see a 2 private sailboats cruising by. The view, with the lake at the foreground, then the greenery from the trees to the snow-capped mountains.....it's like a postcard. So serene, peaceful and just pleasant. Would love to see it during the winter when they have their polo matches.

    Beautiful Walk
Easy walk around the lake and stopped off for a hot chocolate on the way. It is easy walking and well sign posted and probably the best thing to do in St Moritz in the winter as the shops are expensive as expected. Close to the train station and take your time and just marvel at the views.

    Ever changing views
The walk round the lake takes about 60-90 minutes or even longer if you stop for coffee. It’s mostly flat. It gives views of the mountains, woods and town. Very quiet and has good paths.

    Lovely walk!
We walked right round the lake from St Moritz south to St Moritz train station and then into the centre. The walk was lovely with fabulous views! Part of the path was quite sludgy and muddy due to snow however it was still very walkable in ankle boots! We took quite a long time to walk it (probably 90 minutes) as my parents are 70 and walk slowly but it was very pleasant. We found that St Moritz is a bit of a ghost town in April as so many places are closed including most of the cable cars so this was one of the main attractions!

    Nice walk
Took a walk around the lake late in the evening. Very cool and nice view. Few ducks swimming around. No crowd as it was already late in the evening. Took around 40 mins walk (fast pace)

    Around Lake St. Moritz
Easy walk around Lake St. Moritz. Very picturesque. An alternative route is "St. Moritz - Meierei - Lej da Staz - Celerina / Pontresina" that can be found in Tour Portal Engadin.

    Picturesque and colourful lake
When you are visiting Sankt Moritz, don't forget to take a walk around the lake on the promenade and other paths around. Views all around this lake are awesome. There are typical Engadine mountains in the background and you can see all the Sankt Moritz - Dorf from the lake shores. In winter, the lake is many times frozen. It is a very nice place to relax and clear your minds before you go forward to other attractions, cities and challenges in your life.

    Upmarket Alpine Resort
We only had a couple of hours here as part of an alpine coach trip and although the scenery over the lake and mountains was stunning, the town itself was very upmarket and quite pretentious. From the Gucci and Hermes shops and the outrageously expensive hotels and restaurants that form the upper part of the town to the tranquility of lake St Moritz via the modern escalator system. This is the kind of town that will come into it's own in the winter ski season but not somewhere that we'd return to.
