We were here for winter hiking trail in march 2019! The philosophers’ hiking trail is well marked and in a great condition with occasional city areas. There are different length of trails (from under 1h to over 3h).

It takes an effort to get there, with their own train from near Pontresina, but it is worth it. Good food, and a nice resturant, but you go there for the view!

We have been there in summer for hiking and wanted to check it out in winter as well. Access to the funicular is free with a ski pass/public transport card. Beautiful view and sledging facilities

A short bus trip from St. Moritz brought us to Punt Muragl, where we boarded the funicular railway for the steep climb to the top (2456m). The whole area, as far as the eye can see, was covered with a deep, white blanket of fresh...More

Location and personnel incredible. Soft live music lovely. Not a great menu, missing many local plates you must expect in this area

We took the train to Pontresina and the funicular up the mountainside. It was a brilliant sunny day and the high level hike with fabulous views was really exhilarating.

Fabulous views of St Moritz, the lake and surrounding mountains. A bus goes from the train station to the base of the mountain and the funicular that takes you to the top. Great restaurant at the top too.

Well, when in Switzerland, you must do it all! So up we went on this funicular! It's a great ride, although a little pricey, and the views at the top are beautiful. From here, you can take a spectacular hike through some farms, and up...More

On our trip we went on the fennicular railway up to the Romantik hotel. The views were amazing, watched the hang gliders take off. Had great lunch in beautiful surroundings. In all a fantasticSunday in the Engadin.
