I have visited this Alpine Destination near St.Moritz & Pontresina on the way to the Bernina Mountain passage with family members in August 2012. We have enjoyed a breathtaking view, no disturbing clouds and a T-shirt feeling at 3000m a.s.l. Piz Bernina, Piz Morteratsch, Piz...More

We went the day before ski season opened. It was pretty empty but gorgeous, tons of snow, and the staff was eager to help customers. The Swiss have a hotel at the top of every Alp it seems! Diavolezza is no exception. We skipped the...More

One of many great mountains in this area of the Swiss/Italian Alps with several different trails to enjoy. It is well-maintained and the views from the top on a clear day are some of the best I've ever seen.

We stopped at Bernina Diavolezza and took the gondola up. It was a beautiful clear day and the various peaks up there and the glacier were dazzling to look at! Worth a stop! If your hotel in St Moritz offers free transit passes for the...More

Use the local trains rather than the Bernina Express for which you require resevations. Local trains run frequently. We went from St Moritz and stopped at Diavolezza to take the cable car to the top. A bit scrubby on the way up but when you...More

Yes. There is a large car park and a Restaurant at the bottom and another Restaurant at the Top. The Rosti was excellent. It was working in Sept. I Think it runs most of the year but certainly through the winter. Enjoy the... More
