Took the cable car up Diavolezza (9,000 ft) for breathtaking views of the Alps and the Morteratsch Glacier. Lunched in the buffet restaurant at the top. Stayed in St Moritz.

You travel by cable car to Diavolezza but unfortunately due to very cloudy weather we could not sample the wonderful views that I am sure are available. Snow was plentiful at the top and there is a restaurant and gift shop. One family had great fun throwing snowballs at each other.

SUGGESTION NUMBER 120 by Walter Lussu – DIAVOLEZZA ALLEGRA "HEIMVORTEIL" - TAKE ADVANTAGE GOING LOCAL Discover unique places making new friends. Legend has it that hunters once casually followed the red-headed mountain nymph only to disappear for ever – and it’s from this little devil that the mountain supposedly made itself a name. Diavolezza. An ideal spot to lay back... More

It has great mountain views and a good place to experience snow and see the glaciers. Those living in the vicinity are familiar with moaning sound of the wind where legends talk about a she-devil who mourns the death of a mountain climber she fell in love with. Folktales aside this is a good place to really get close proximity... More

Wonderful views going and coming by cable car, not to mention the fabulous views from the restaurant/café at the top of the mountain.

It's no Jungfrau or Titlis, but a majestic view nevertheless. You are likely get a clear and unobstructed view most of the time, as it is not so high up. The restaurant food is great as well, and there are outdoor seats for an even more enjoyable meal (as long as the weather is good), though it will be crowded... More

I love the ride to the Diavolezza, and the mountain itself. Gorgeous views, even in the rain. The air is so pure and delicious, that even a simple tomato soup from the Berghaus Cafeteria tastes like a thousand bucks!

Excellent view from the top. Also, for skiiers, don't forget to go the Lagalp on the other side of the valley. Well worth the short trip.
