Vaillant Arena was a great place to watch a game in the Spengler Cup. We had standing tickets only but could see well. The game was so exciting and the atmosphere so entertaining that the time (about 2 1/2hrs) went quickly! The arena was full and the crowd were chanting team songs, the mascot was revving up the crowd and the game was action packed! We don’t know anything about ice hockey but still had a really good night. There was a shuttle bus back to area where we had parked the car at the end of the night which we were grateful for. Well organised venue with effective entry process in place.

We caught the Davos/Lausanne hockey game last night and what a treat. It was wonderful to see the venue filled with mostly locals, cheering on their revered Hockey Club Davos (created in 1921). While Davos won 3 to 0, everyone enjoyed watching their local favorite sport.
The Vaillant arena is made primarily from wood, and is an amazing piece of architecture, and a great place to watch a hockey game. I particularly liked the "cheering section" of the Hockey Club Davos where many flags were waved, songs sung, and unbridled enthusiasm was in abundance! There was a store adjacent the Vaillant arena that sold various Davos hockey paraphernalia. Food and beverages were also available during the game
The bottom line- if you are visiting Davos and want to participate in a genuine local endeavor, go cheer on the Hockey Club Davos at the Vaillant arena, as it is a fantastic way to spend the evening.

I've been to many hockey arenas in my day but this is a whole different experience! The architecture alone is beautiful. There is not a bad seat in the place and the game entertainment is amazing. The fans are loud and into the action--regardless of which teams are playing! This is a must-see when visiting Davos!

Sure the building looks splendid, but the standing space was not worth the money for the ticket. I came to watch the Spengler Cup (haven't even heard of this). The off the ice (ditty) music was just 3 songs being played over and over....no real variety.
From where I was standing, I could hardly see anything meaningfully. There wasn't even a big screen (jumbo tron).
What was however quite shocking was Team Canada - this was definitely not the real Team Canada. Almost every player on this "team Canada" were born in Switzerland. So they weren't real Canadians. But I guess you could see from the quality of hockey played - didn't take rocket science to figure that out.
Won't be coming back here. Actually I was in Davos for a recent trip and someone got me tickets for a game - I just didn't bother going to avoid the disappointment.

Especially during Spengler Cup in December the Vaillant arena is a spectacular veue for watching hockey. The home HCD play excellent hockey and the venue is also the location of events like art on ice.

Visit the station when the local ice hocke team HC Davos plays. They play in the top ice hockey league in Switzerland and are one otf the top team. Remember, Switzerland is among the best hockey nations worldwide!

Been there with my wife to watch the Art on Ice show in Davos. i have to say: it was AMAZING! the show itself but also the venue of the Vaillant Arena. When i came in i expected a cold breeze as you usually feel during ice shows or ice hockey matches, but no. it was cosy warm. The seating area was amazing. you could see very well and the staff was extremly friendly..

It's not a big place ( 6 thousand people ) but is a nice place to visit. But make sure you arrive very early or buy a ticket whit a seat number. If don't and the place where crowded its impossible to watch the game. You just can't see nothing .
