With al the chintzy James Bond ads around the area, and having already visited Jungfraufroch, I had low expectations for Schilthorn, but I was pleasantly surprised. The tram ride and summit offer great views, and the James Bond themed interiors are done very well and...More

We visited in the summer and even then it was almost freezing up there. The views are out of this world and Bond World is a must see. Even the toilet doors are Bond themed (see pics).

Advice on winter activities - 3 days in January (3 Replies)
We have two nights / 3 full days in Grindelwald in the first week of January (will be coming from Zurich and likely Luzern area for a few days prior to this) and looking for some help planning our activities. Some basic info -- we are 30, active and fit, adventurous but not out to be stupid by getting in above our experience levels. We want to hike, toboggan (have only done winter sledding on a small scale here at home), snowshoe (done it a few times), and cross-country ski (have done this...More

Ideas for 4 days in Switzerland around Interlaken (5 Replies)
Dear Folks, We are a family of four (including two kids aged 5 and 10) from India and plan to be in Switzerland for 4 clear days after which we continue to Italy. I am looking for ideas for the 4 days we have. I was thinking: - Jungfrau or Schilthorn - Day trip Bern - Day trip Lucerne Questions: 1. Is Interlaken a good place to stay for this? 2. Should I be doing both Jungfrau and Schilthorn? If no, which is preferable? 3. Should I be doing something else? Any other...More

Thanks for your prompt reply. I plan to be there late April (Sorry, I should've mentioned it before). I plan to buy the 4 days Swiss Travel Pass. It seems kids from 5-16 travel free when accompanied by an Adult carrying this pass. I thought all everything will be covered while travelling to Jungfrau and Schilthorn, no?
