We flew around the Eiger in a helicopter giving a us an amazing view of the North Face. There is no better way to see the Eiger than in a helicopter.

We traveled with Grayline, guide named KIDD; wonderful experience. While Switzerland in general is expensive, the god-awful food they foist on tourists is not edible and is uber expensive. We loved the Ice Palace and the snow (being desert dwellers) and the ice carvings were...More

Great train rides to the top. Not cheap. $1,000 NZ for 3 adults. Only people, my son and I, in shorts but then that is the Kiwi way!

Hi all, We are in Grindelwald in January and want to take the railway up to the north face of the Eiger. Can anyone tell us how long this takes and how much it costs? Once up there how long should we allow to take in the sights? (We are trying to work out if we can do this and then do 1/2 day of skiing in 1 day) Thanks in advance, David
