Catch the train to Wegnen, Gondola to Manlichen and hike to Kleine Scheidegg. Really fun way to spend a day. There are lots of hikes you can do from Kleine Scheidegg, so a little research beforehand would be helpful.

Lovely train ride from Grindlewald with stunning views all the way. Choice of eating places at the top. This is beautiful in the summer but is even more so in the winter. Access to the Jungfrau from this point. Can go down to Wengen from here too and perhaps back up on the Mannlican cable car and then the bubble... More

If you are going to Jungfraujoch, you will have to change train at KS. But on your way up or down, do spend time to look around and have a short walk. You may go to the artificial lake which will take about 20 minutes which offers great reflection of the mountain. Have fun and enjoy.

We rode the train from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg and then hiked back to Grindelwald. It is a hike of 3 to 4 hours, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant on the way down. The hike was difficult, all downhill and steep at times, but the views were so amazing and well worth the effort.

We took an easy walk and soaked in the beautiful scenery of the snow capped Alps. If you don't like walking probably it's not the best spot to fill in time unless you are happy just sitting.

But also a must to start a multitude of easy moderate or challenging hikes. The easy ones can be achieved by all ages and despite your fitness levels you can spend hours on a slow decending walk down to Grindelwald - make sure you have a few hours to spare though. Also, try the walk back to Wengen if your feeling... More

This is my favourite place for skiing in Switzerland, and Kleine Scheidegg also offers wonderful hiking in the summer. Take the train up from Interlaken and your right there. Couldn´t be easier. Stunning, stunning views and decent accommodation. Have a coffee restaurant with the massive terrace overlooking the Eiger North Face. Awesome!

Such a beautiful and easy hike to do, only takes about 1.5 hours total (if you stop along the way to say hi to the cows). Porta-potty half way along the trail. The hike down from Keine Scheidegg to Wengen is a bit long and steap but a much different kind of beautiful- it's in the woods, very lush, green,... More
