Amazing Experience!

This is probably the coolest thing I've ever done in my life! My pilot, Marcel was very helpful and entertaining. He let me steer for a little bit and pointed out what the mountains and lakes were while we were in the air. I paid extra for the photo and video service and am also very glad I did that.The experience itself is a bit pricey (I'm a college student studying abroad), but definitely unique and I am very glad I did it.

October paragliding fun!

It was such a great experience for my husband and I. We met at the office and the driver drove 20 mins up to the mountain. Tom gave a little intro on our way up to the mountain and had randomized pilots on cards for us to pick. Miki was my pilot and he was awesome! We ran down a mountain so it was more doable than jumping off one. Also, it was such a great view from above of Lake Brienz and Lake Thun! Wonderful and friendly group of pilots! I can’t imagine doing couple times a day for a living 😵‍💫!

Interlaken paragliding experience with Beat Schwaller!
It was my first time paragliding, and I must say it was an absolutely fun & memorable experience!

A special shoutout to my pilot, Beat Schwaller, who explained what we should expect.

We were a group of 5, and all 5 pilots with Tandem were so cool... It helped us put our anxiety at rest!

Thanks Beat, for such a fantastic experience!

How would you like the opportunity to experience how birds fly?
I've just come back from a holiday in Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland with my nine year old daughter. We checked this out on utube before we went and my daughter was enthusiastic about doing it. When we got to Interlaken we discovered that there are quite a few organisations to choose from. They're mainly on the main thoroughfare between the train stations of Interlaken West and Interlaken Ost (East). There were different trips to choose from and we chose the "Big Blue", not the highest starting point but not the lowest one either.

The one we choose seemed to be manned by students who appeared to have nothing better to do and did this just for the thrill of it all. But they were very friendly and helpful. We were given boots and they had a locker where we could leave our belongings. We climbed into the minibus with about 6 others and were driven to the top of the mountain over looking the town. The journey took about 15-20 minutes up a steep hill. On the way up we were asked to choose which pilot we wanted.

After getting out of the minibus we had a short walk to the take off point. It was a large grassy patch. After the guide's got their equipment out they strapped us into our hoists and we were given instructions about what to do (basically run down the grass bank and keep running even when the bank gets steeper). My daughter went off before me. When it was my turn I was more excited than apprehensive. I ran and kept running. Suddenly we were up and flying back to Interlaken.

The views were breathtaking, seeing both lakes below and the Jungrfau in front. Each pilot is armed with a digital camera to take still photos and a bit of video during the flight. The flight took about 15-20 minutes and was a fantastic experience. The landing takes place on a playing field right in the centre of Interlaken. I landed before my daughter due to my heavier weight. After landing we were shown our results on the cameras and went back to the shop to collect our things.

We were given the opportunity to purchase a DVD of the experience. I paid for one for my daughter so she could show her friends at school. The total time taken for this was just over an hour. It cost about £240 for both flights and the DVD. Some people might think it's expensive for what you get. I agree. However, it you want a bit of excitement in your life I would thoroughly recommend it. My daughter absolutely loved it and wanted to do it again later in the week. We went back hoping to do the most expensive one but due to inclement weather it was not possible as flights do not occur during windy weather or rain, for obvious reasons.

To sum up, an expensive but brilliant experience for adults and children. If you're visiting the Bernese Oberland don't just sit there in your slippers get out and put a bit of excitement into your life.

Myself and my wife Visited Interlaken fro Easter holidays. It was really nice and good experience with the Guys at Paragliding Interlaken. They made it look so easy. They are well trained and friendly. Complete fun for 15 mins. Don't miss it if you are Visiting Interlaken.

I was involved in a paragliding accident this past weekend (7/15/17). The pilot knew the winds were too strong, as he admitted to me after we landed, but on takeoff the strong winds blew us into the ground, causing us to be dragged downhill across the muddy grass. We hit a fence, going head first, before the pilot finally got us off the ground. I was on the bottom, so my clothes and shoes were ruined. Overall, it was a traumatizing experience. Especially when the pilot knew the conditions were dangerous and he still took off.. I was expecting an awesome experience, but unfortunately this is how I will remember paragliding and Interlaken.

Hello there, we are really very sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. Luckily it seems that you did not get any physical injury. We have special flying regulations relating to weather conditions. Especially the winds and directions are getting checked all the time. On that particular day the wind conditions have been strong but were still safe to fly. Unfotunately it seems that the pilot and yourself were caught by unsuspecting wind gust. All other pilots and their guests on the same trip flew without any problems. We are flying hundrets of flights all year around through different weather conditions since 1990 without any major incidents. Doing any outdoor activites there are always risks which we try to minimize with our safety programm. Signed up for paragliding and was very excited for it. Unfortunately something came up and it turned out that I could not make my reservation. Emailed requesting a refund and they were very rude and not accommodating. Sad because I actually was looking forward to going.

Hello Melissa, could you please tell us what exactly was happening with your reservation? Did it got cancelled because of the weather circumstances. This only happens for your own security as we don't want to take any risks. In that case we usually reschedule (if the guest has time) or we give a refund. As well I would like to ask you the name of the person who has been rude to you. Like you can read in all the other ratings this is normally not the case as we all love what we are doing. All the guys on the Paragliding Interlaken were great, really polite and helpful. They were calm and helpful every step of the way, made you feel like you were with real professionals. The journey itself lasted 10-15 mins and was breathtaking the whole time. If you're in Interlaken or Unterseen you should definitely come give this a go!

This company was recommended by a local and is fantastic! They made our amazing memory even more awesome. It was just a small group of us but they made us feel very safe. The entire staff was great. Overall it was just awesome, I wouldn't change a thing!

My pilot was Jeff, and he was INCREDIBLE. He made me feel so safe, comfortable, and was a blast to talk to you. Paragliding was my favorite part of my trip to Switzerland, and I guarantee it will be one of my favorite memories traveling abroad. Thank you again Jeff!!!!!!
