This lift carries u to parasailing, sledding, and skiing. If u go to Grendenwald PLEASE try parasailing!!!!!! The sledding is good and so are the zip lines. All from first for $49 per ride i think. Honestly I dropped so much $ there I quit counting!!

visited in March 2016. To get up to First, if you have a Swiss travel pass you could get 50% discount on the cable car ticket from Grindelwald to First. Its a beautiful paradise for skiing, hiking and mountains.

Excellent skiing, runs for everyone! The cable car is a real treat, with perfect views of the Swiss alps. Loads of hang gliders also flying a over the alps, which is quite an amazing sight. The cable car is 10 metres from the main road, everyone seems to dress in their ski gear at hotel and walk to short distance... More

Albeit close to end of season this was an extremely disappointing skii field for my partner who is a beginner. Acces to blue runs mainly via red or almost red runs and several slopes groomed the evening before and resembled an ice skating rink. Compared to Mannlichen and Klein Scheidegg this was very very dissapointing.

Mount First is absolutely a must visit for people who are in staying or passing by Grindelwald. To get to Mount First, you must proceed to a cable car station within Grindelwald. I just used google maps to locate it. Cable car ride costs about 20 something chf cant remember the exact amount. The whole duration of the ride is... More

The First Ski area is the area to receive the sun first during a winter day and is terrific for intermediates with some excellent blue and red runs. I recommend Blue 10 for a great 80kph ski!!!

Not a large ski area, but the runs are varied and when I was there the snow conditions were good. Do try the "flyer" if you like zip wires...

You could walk up here from Grindelwald but that would be stupid. Take the gondola up (and down). From First, hike to Bachalpsee or on to the Faulhorn or to Grossescheidegg or a hundred other routes. Or take the zip line down (so steep and so fast) or go on the cliff walk (yikes). There's also a restaurant and nice... More

This gondola takes you to the top of the First alpine area. The slopes are good and diverse. There are lots of off piste opportunities from both of the highest lifts. Especially from the top of Oberjooh you can find untouched areas as long as you keep to the immediate right once you leave the lift and face the slopes.... More

A very good place if you will soon go to the Jungfrau, cause you can try adapting the high altitude. Very clear hiking route around First. It is also the starting point to go to famous Lake Bachalpsee.
