Great views and wonderful to have a picnic with young children. If possible spend 2 hours just sitting or hike to the lake.

Took the cable car up to First, and to fabulous views of the Mountains and down the valley to Grindelwald. Walked the first section down, mountain cart the second section and cable car the final section, and with a welcome drink at each.

I think Grindelwald train station (or maybe bus station) would be the nearest point with luggage lockers.
