Gorgeous, breathtaking views at the First as well as from the gondola ride up the mountain. The four of us (2 mothers/2 adult daughters) rode the zipline "Wow" - trip of a lifetime! Highly recommend this location and activity to others. Switzerland at it's best. Beautiful area to have a picnic and even hike. We were blessed with a warm... More

The gondola ride is scenic and goes up to the top of the mountain. There is a good restaurant and gift shop and the option to take the gondola back down the hill if you are not skiing.

We had a glorious sunny winter's day for our visit to First. The views are spectacular, and the Cliff Walk is fabulous. The Berghaus is good for lunch with a view. The place was packed with skiers and people on sledges so we joined them. Sledges can be hired and the runs are well maintained. As beginners we took the... More

This was a great day long visit. Amazing views, the sky walk was thrilling, the walk to the lake took much longer (90mins) than listed as we had two young kids but it was all worth it.

I grew up hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains and was skeptical that the Alps would be more impressive. I was certainly wrong. The mountains in Grindelwald are breath taking. Rugged rocky cliff and snow peaked caps. This might be one of my favorite spots in Europe. We took the gondola and spent some time hiking at the top.... More

This is really a stunning place to visit. When you're up, you're surrounded by the mountains and it feels relatively closeby. You can access it by foot or by cable car. The cable car is free when you have a Jungfrau region hiking and sledging pass.

The cable car ride up to Furst from Grindelwald is worth the trip alone. Scenery is just stunning. Had great walk down to Shreckfeld then caught cable car to abort for lunch. The restaurant at First is very good with excellent goulash soup especially when you can eat it on the terrace in the sun with snow all around. Yes... More

Fun to go to the top in a gondola. The walk around the top is very exciting as you are on a wire mess walkway over steep vertical drops. Not for the faint of heart. The ride up takes 28 minutes and you are at 7100 feet high. A climb of over 3500 feet from the village!

Have been here many times as they have a good choice of food, including at least three choices of soup in their self-service area

Worth the 30mins cable car ride up to First. The views of part of the Bernese Alps were majestic. There are alot of activities too. Walking to the lake (which we didnt do sadly since the weather wasnt good before we reach up in First and we had a 10month old with us) and there was the zipline which was... More
